All the seven petitioners have applied in pursuance of the Government Orders dated 11th July, 2013 and 23rd August, 2013 for the posts of Assistant Teacher (Science & Mathematics) in Senior Basic Schools run by the Basic Education Board, U.P. They claim that they have all the requisite qualifications and are also holding the certificate of Teachers Eligibility Test-2011. It is stated that in spite of the seventh round of counselling a large number of posts are still lying vacant and the petitioners are eligible for appointment against those posts, but on account of inaction on the part of the respondents no further step is being taken to fill up those vacant posts.
The only prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners is that the representations, which the petitioners have made for redressal of their grievance, may be directed to be considered by the authority concerned.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel.
Having due regard to the facts of the case, I am of the view that the ends of justice would be met by issuing a direction upon the second respondent to consider the cause of the petitioners and pass the appropriate order in accordance with law within two months from the date of communication of this order.
Needless to say that this Court has not expressed its opinion on the merits of the case. The authority concerned shall pass the order independently and in accordance with law.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
